The
Art of Being in Motion
November 17th - 18th
Workshops with Helen Poynor & Shelagh O'Neill
An opportunity to replenish body, mind and spirit on the threshold between autumn and winter, in conversation with ancient rocks and the late autumnal trees.
A
unique collaboration interweaving non-stylised movement and the
Feldenkrais Method®. The subtle kinaesthetic awareness developed
through Feldenkrais enriches creative exploration, opening the path
to fuller and freer expression and a deeper encounter with the environment.
The
Feldenkrais Method generates flexibility of body and mind, in a
focused, relaxed and often surprising way. The sequences of movements
work like a physical riddle - as each new movement is repeated and
explored, new clarity is found and unaccustomed movement relationships
emerge. Your habits and assumptions are challenged and you find
new solutions. Attention, curiosity and awareness combine to engage
your capacity for on-going change.
Shelagh O'Neill is an experienced Feldenkrais practitioner,
practising in Bristol and Cornwall. She and Helen have been working
in collaboration for 8 years.
