Workshop bookings
To book on a workshop please send a £40 deposit, made payable to Helen Poynor, with your postal address and phone number (preferably a landline) to Helen Poynor at the address on this page. Early booking is advised (maximum 8-12 places). Once your booking is confirmed your deposit is non-refundable. A list of local accommodation, and full travel details are sent on confirmation. Please respect that the concession rate is intended for people on benefit level of income. If you would have difficulty walking up to a mile on rough ground or moving on unpredictable terrain or have a health condition which may affect your participation please call Helen to discuss the sites we will be working on.
Bursaries
A reduced price bursary place is available on most workshops in exchange for help looking after the space. Please enquire.
Public Transport
Nearest train station: Axminster on the Waterloo to Exeter line operated by South Western Railway www.nationalrail.co.uk. Discounts for South East Network card holders and other card holders.
Buses: For buses from Axminster see www.traveline.org.uk tel: 0871 200 22 33.
Airports: Exeter, Bristol, Heathrow (with railair link via Woking to Axminster) and Gatwick (Gatwick Express to Clapham Junction to connect with Waterloo - Axminster train).
Location
Workshops are based in Branscombe, East Devon, 20 miles east of Exeter between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis or Beer (3 miles east of Branscombe) and Charmouth, West Dorset a coastal village 2 miles east of Lyme Regis. All three villages are located on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast providing beautiful and tranquil settings to take time out. A variety of accommodation is available including hotels, B & Bs, a Youth Hostel and camping (in the summer).
Times
Unless otherwise indicated most workshops start at 10am on the first day and finish by 5.30pm on the last day.
