Workshop bookings
To book on a workshop please send a deposit (£30 for 2/3
day workshops, £50 for longer workshops) with your postal address
and phone number (preferably a landline) to Helen Poynor at the
address on this page. Early booking is advised (max 12 places).
Once your booking is confirmed your deposit is non-refundable. A
list of local accommodation is sent on confirmation. Please respect
that the concession rate is intended for people on benefit level
of income.
Bursaries
A reduced price bursary place is available on some workshops as
a work exchange. Please enquire.
Public Transport
Nearest train station: Axminster on the Waterloo
to Exeter line operated by South West Trains www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Discounts for South East Network card holders and other card holders.
For cheap tickets from London try megatrain.com. X53 bus
from Exeter to Bournemouth goes through both Beer
and Charmouth (www.traveline.org.uk Tel: 0871 200 22 33 for all
buses or 01305 783645 for X53 only) Nearest airport: Exeter.
Other airports, Bristol and Bournemouth or Heathrow with railair
link via Woking to Axminster.
Location
Workshops are based in Beer, East Devon, an attractive
fishing village in a sheltered bay 20 miles east of Exeter between
Sidmouth and Lyme Regis, or Branscombe, the next village to Beer and Charmouth, West Dorset a coastal village
2 miles east of Lyme Regis. Both villages are located on the World
Heritage Jurassic Coast providing beautiful and tranquil settings
to take time out. A variety of accommodation is available including
hotels, B & Bs, a Youth Hostel and camping (in the summer).
